Somebody remind me why I even bother putting TBRs together again…
Below is what I had planned to read, versus what I actually read.
The Fever by Megan Abbott
Skyward by Brandon Sanderson (review)
American Royals by Katherine McGee
The Furies by Katie Lowe
The Diabolic by S.J. Kincaid (review)
Steel Crow Saga by Paul Krueger
My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell (review)
Slightly less new books
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
Dracula by Bram Stoker
The Girl with a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier
Perv: The Sexual Deviant In All Of Us by Jesse Bering (review)
The Magician’s Guild (Black Magician #1) by Trudi Canavan
The Call by Peadar O’Guilin (review)
The Hound of the Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle
Wow. I read three of the books I meant to. Go me. In my defence, I did read 12 total books, which isn’t so shabby… I just suck at the planning stage, apparently.
Apparently May was the month for re-reading! It wasn’t intentional; it just so happened that everything I wanted to read… I had already read before! I particularly enjoyed The Magician’s Guild. It had been a good fourteen years or so since I first read it, and it held up really well. I’m looking forward to reading the second and third books this month.
What did you read in May 2020? Do you reread books often, or not at all?
