The War & Peace Read-a-long: Week Three

I honestly can't believe we're a third of the way through War & Peace already - my GoodReads counter says that we're on exactly 33%. Isn't it going quickly? And weren't this week's chapters amazing!?

A lot of us were behind by the end of last week for a multitude of reasons, but it seems like several of us finished pretty early this week. If not, no worries! You can always catch up in a later week or maybe even just skim read the few chapters you have left. Let's keep it fun and low-pressure!

This week's prompts:

1) Are you managing to keep all the characters straight in your head?

2) Have your tactics that we discussed in Week One changed since beginning this book?

3) Aww, poor Pierre. Do we feel sorry for him or is it his own fault for marrying for lust?

4) Do you think Dolokhov will get his comeuppance - not only for sleeping with Helene, but for basically bankrupting Rostov?

5) Who knew the FREEMASONS were part of War & Peace!? How do you feel about this?

6) Do you think Tolstoy dislikes women as much as he seems to, or is it a form of satire?
